Fortune RESIDENCE
Location: Centennial, Colorado The Fortune Family chose to renovate a rundown 1970’s house to reflect their eclectic Japanese heritage. With the removal of interior walls the plan was re-organized and glass doors and operable windows added. These dramatic changes achieved an open floor plan, natural daylighting and a connection of indoor spaces with the outdoors. The exterior was renovated with stucco, natural stone and Prodema wood paneling. The use of native materials, contextual patterns, and natural colors created a contemporary home that achieves the owners’ goal of warm and inviting. The main level is oriented around an open kitchen that is adjacent to dining, library and the entrance. The top floor is an open master suite and loft that combines the sleeping area with bathroom and closet. The floors are connected with a new open staircase and added windows that allow for an open and airy experience. Five Goals:
